As the new Technical Advisor for WSRCA, Ken will provide an overview of recent concerns and resolutions on issues related to the current generation of roofing and waterproofing systems. He will explore those issues, so as to help Western States and all industry professionals gain a better understanding of these concerns, so as to develop appropriate responses to each. These issues will include:
• Roof assemblies in relation to the current Title 24 prescriptive cool roof requirements
• Roof vapor retarders and their adhesion to concrete decks
• The continuing trend towards single ply and modified bituminous roofing systems
• Blind side below grade waterproofing systems and how their performance is influenced by concrete placement
• The trend towards cold fluid applied podium deck waterproofing systems
