This bulletin is an update on recent activity by American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Roofing and Waterproofing D08 Committee. The ASTM Committee D08 meetings were held in June in Toronto, Canada. The attached spreadsheet summarizes the ongoing status in the development of the noted standards and accompanying draft documents. Of note (and as further explained in the attached spreadsheet) there were lengthy discussions regarding the following proposed standards:

D8109-17(2024) Standard Guide for Waterproofing Repair of Concrete by Chemical Grout Crack Injection

Meeting attendees discussed the following:
• Adopting the shotcrete definition from D8425.
• Per D8425: Shotcrete: Concrete or mortar conveyed through a hose and pneumatically projected at high velocity onto a surface to achieve compaction.
• Adding the following to Section 1. "Scope: 1.2 For interpretation of this guide as it relates to waterproofing repair by chemical grout injection into (shotcrete) walls, refer to Appendix 1."
• Adding Appendix 1 – Waterproofing Repair of Shotcrete by Chemical Grout Injection Nonmandatory Information. A summary of the Appendix draft follows:
